A beautifully Alaskan place to recharge those who selflessly share God's love.
The Lodge (pictured above) will be the heart of our missions Base Camp. Once located in downtown Fairbanks, the structure was rescued following the flood of 1967 and moved to near the summit of Mt. Lulu Fairbanks, where it is today. Mount Lulu Base Camp is five acres of peace and tranquility situated at the edge of tens of thousands of acres of public land, but only a 20 minute drive on paved roads from Fairbanks.
Mount Lulu Base Camp will feature the Lodge, several sleeping cabins and camp sites, a bonfire ring, outdoor fellowship amphitheater, walking trails, and a 30+ mile view across the mountains. Once completed, we expect the base camp to be able to accommodate 25-30 missionaries, and expansions are planned to increase our capacity. Laundry facilities, showers, and a large kitchen will make this an all-inclusive stop so that extra expenses and trips into town can be avoided. At nearly 1,500 feet elevation above Fairbanks, the mountainside at Mount Lulu Base Camp receives lots of sunlight year around and sits in much warmer air above the Tanana Valley inversion layer in the winter months.
Once completed, the Base Camp will provide a place for visiting missions teams to stay on their way to and from remote parts of Alaska. It will also be a place for those who serve full-time in these rural communities to stay while they receive medical care, pick up supplies, or seek God's rest on the mountaintop with their families.
Currently we offer two small dry cabins at Mount Lulu Base Camp. The "Ermine Cabin" can sleep three adults and features a kitchenette, wood stove, dining table, grill, and outhouse.
The "Scud-Runners' Roost" cabin (pictured) can sleep two adults and features a kitchenette, electric heat, dining table, and outhouse. Extra bed rolls can be provided at either cabin for families with children.
We are working to add 4-6 more sleeping cabins to Mount Lulu Base Camp soon. If you're interested in helping with construction please contact us today, or visit our Donate page to support the project financially. If you or your team are in need of assistance, please click on the link below.

When an urgent request for supplies came in from a missionary in the remote Alaskan village of Fort Yukon, one of our pilots was able to make the flight there in just a few hours and completely free. We can do this because someone like you decided to make a difference in Alaska missions and generously gave. Your tax-deductible gift of $40/month covers one of these roundtrip flights each year to an interior Alaska village in support of a missionary living in the bush. Click below to give.
